U2 and the Undertones perhaps have an equal number of great songs.
The Undertones churned them out in about a tenth of the time, but more significantly they had one of the great pop voices
‘U’ and ‘V’ could’ve been the two Dublin bands, U2 and the Virgin Prunes
I never saw U2, but their chums, the Prunes were one of best live acts I saw around the start of the eighties
To be honest I couldn’t think of many ‘T’s.
I considered ‘The Pogues’ but I think @petercmoore would say I was cheating.
Anyway I remembered ‘Rex’ isn’t a surname so T. Rex it is
