From a marketing POV, if you were naming your band today, you maybe wouldn’t call yourselves The Beat…one of my fave live acts, but the name doesn’t play nice with computers (until you press the space bar)

This is marvellous from @thehistoryguy - it’s about Fovant, which is near Salisbury, during WW1

It’s a small-ish village which got more or less deluged with 1000s of ANZAC and other soldiers, one of whom was probably my great-grandad as it happens
