When I lived in Lewisham there was a pub called the Roebuck and the MP was Jane Ruddock….which is fairly close

I have spent a chunk of this evening in a pub called the Malt House, in Andover.

The local MP is Kit Malthouse and now I am wondering if any other MPs have pubs in their constituency with the same name

RT @JosephWatkins: @salisbury_matt not a pub, but this guy probably has a few coffee shops

PSA for Chelsea fans:

if you want to sound really pretentious Raphinha is properly pronounced ‘Haphinha’

Unless someone is pulling my leg, which is more than likely

My word of the day is ‘stanchion’.

When the new, full moon is waxing gibbous, when you journey between two opposing points on contrapuntal ley lines, when you travel in the fourth quarter of the never hour.

That is when your Network Railcard will save you money.

My word of the day today is ‘cadge’

RT @salisbury_matt: I hadn’t seen this before: Winnie at @EH_Stonehenge (from commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Cate…)

My word of the day today is ‘mull’.

Also like the Jubilee I got the nagging feeling that Paul wasn’t enjoying it over much….he was doing it for our benefit, out of a sense of duty

Like the Jubilee, we’re probably not going to see it again

Lovely though

I truly believe…that a hundred years from now, most of us will be forgotten.

But I do believe that Shane’s music is going to be remembered and sung. It’s just deep in the nature of it.” www.rollingstone.com/music/mus…

…I think

The last time Tiverton and Honiton elected someone other than Conservative, @EHOldSarum (the hill on the left) had only just ceased to be a parliamentary constituency

RT @salisbury_matt: It’s been a long time since anyone posted a picture of the Giant and Hobnob

RT @salisbury_matt: #OnThisDay in 1946 Salisbury was flooded. Two inches of rain fell in 45 minutes
