My work desk faces the window, which is nice

I can see people, some of whom I would probably know, walking up or down the hill, which is also nice

The trouble is,that with my work glasses on,I’m too short-sighted to be able to tell whether I know them or not

When my eldest was growing up she was always wanting to know what your favourite colour, film, TV character etc was

This was my favourite song open.spotify.com/track/2aE…

U2 and the Undertones perhaps have an equal number of great songs.

The Undertones churned them out in about a tenth of the time, but more significantly they had one of the great pop voices

‘U’ and ‘V’ could’ve been the two Dublin bands, U2 and the Virgin Prunes

I never saw U2, but their chums, the Prunes were one of best live acts I saw around the start of the eighties

To be honest I couldn’t think of many ‘T’s.

I considered ‘The Pogues’ but I think @petercmoore would say I was cheating.

Anyway I remembered ‘Rex’ isn’t a surname so T. Rex it is

‘S’ is difficult, but it comes down to a choice between Nancy and Dusty

I would possibly need a hundred tweets to explain why I went for one rather than the other

From 1997.

I think I’ve calmed down again now.

RT @MarkMyWordsNews: My children won’t go back to school until the pupils of Eton are back at school. It is as simple as that.

Footballer on the telly talking about a team-mate being burgled and threatened with a knife

He was very sensitive and sympathetc…but couldn’t stop himself saying “It’s one of those things”

I was half expecting him to say “we’ll take the positives and move on”
